Biography
Born and raised in France, Elle Jauffret left her native country in search of adventure with the only certainty that she would become either a lawyer or a writer. She is a graduate of The University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis Law School (in Nice, France) and The George Washington University Law School (in Washington, D.C., USA).
She was the chairperson of the Pediatric Literacy Program (Books4Kids) at the National Naval Medical Center/Walter Reed Medical Center (the President's hospital), Bethesda, MD for two consecutive years. She is also the initiator of a new program called First Breath, First Read (sponsored and funded by the NDOSC) that provides a new book to babies born in the hospital- as a first step into the world of literacy. In 2009 and 2010, she represented the Embassy of France at one of the country’s largest performing arts festivals for children - Kids Euro Festival in Washington DC. ["The month-long event is geared to kids ages four through twelve and features artists in almost every performing genre, whose talents range from opera for children to improvisational storytelling, to puppeteer, dancers, and acrobats. Kids Euro Festival is staged through the cooperation of the 27 Washington-based European Union embassies and more than a dozen major local cultural institutions." www.kidseurofestival.org or on Facebook: Kids Euro Festival."]
She is the author of the James Normal trilogy (middle grade mystery).
Besides writing, she enjoys everything that makes life extraordinary: from books and sports to food and friendships, and everything in between.
